Coffee has been grown in Peru since the 1700s, with much of the country’s production coming from smallholder farms of three hectares or less. Across Peru’s northern, central and southern highlands, varied elevations and tropical microclimates create coffees with a broad range of flavours.
This Grade 1 coffee represents Peru’s highest quality classification. G1 beans are selected for their consistent size and appearance, with minimal defects and a screen size of 15/16 or above. Grown at high altitude, cooler conditions allow the coffee cherries to mature more slowly, helping to develop greater sweetness and lively acidity. Fully washed for clarity, it produces a clean and balanced cup with bright citrus character and delicate floral notes.
