Bold, Smoky & Unmistakably Distinctive
One of the great traditional large-leaf China teas, Lapsang Souchong is uniquely dried—or ‘fired’—over tarred hemp, allowing the smoke to infuse the leaves with its signature piney, smoky aroma. Souchong refers to the grade of leaf, just as Pouchong and Oolong do. Much like the bergamot in Earl Grey, the tarry, resinous scent enhances the tea’s natural refreshment and depth. Best enjoyed without milk—simply add a slice of lemon to bring out its full character.
