Earl Grey Loose Leaf Tea

A classic blend of finest quality black teas infused with bergamot oil. This sophisticated citrus-scented flavour is best taken after five minutes infusion, black with a slice of lemon or just a dash of milk.
The was was named after the second Earl Grey in 1830, who was prime minister at the time under William IV. He experimented with oil of Bergamot, made from a Mediterranean citrus fruit, by adding a little to the leaves of China teas. He found that the oil enhanced the refreshing nature of the tea.
